Bio and Interests CPA Mohamed Ebrahim

CPA Mohamed Ebrahim is a prospective candidate to contest the Mji wa Kale (Old Town)/Makadara County Assembly seat in the 2017 General Election. The main reasons are that in order for devolution to succeed and to ensure adequate accountability by the devolved funds to the County Governments as one of the key roles of the County Assembly is financial oversight over the County Executive arm. We need to have Members of the County Assembly who are financially literate to understand the impact of the bills they pass, the budgetary process, and keep a critical oversight over financial reporting by the County Executive for Finance and Planning. I believe the current assembly lack members who can demonstrate knowledge and experience in Budgetary, Accountancy, Finance and Audit and who’s conduct is regulated by both local and international Public Accountancy Bodies, hence declaration of my interest as a candidate for the Mji wa Kale/(Old Town)/Makadara seat in the 2017 General Election
